Nuremberg, inspired by Jack El-Hai’s The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, brings to life the true story of the Nuremberg Trials that followed World War Two.
The film follows American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (Rami Malek), assigned to assess the mental fitness of high-ranking Nazi prisoners. His most challenging subject is Hermann Göring (Russell Crowe), Hitler’s closest confidant, leading to a tense psychological battle.
Written and directed by James Vanderbilt, the film unfolds as a gripping cat-and-mouse drama. Nuremberg features a stellar ensemble cast, including Michael Shannon, Richard E. Grant, and Leo Woodall as translator Howard Triest. Set in the shadow of the unimaginable crimes committed during the war, Nuremberg explores the human mind at its most chilling and complex.
