Get ready for another bumper year of horror here at The Light! Fun horror continues its comeback and we will get to enjoy long awaited sequels of beloved franchises. Time to grab your friends, get the popcorn and strap in for a year to remember.

Send Help

This horror thriller from Sam Raimi stars Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien as employee and boss who become stranded on a remote island and have to learn to survive in the wild. As tensions rise, power dynamics soon change and we start to see who is really in charge in the terrifying situation that they have found their selves in.

Scream 7

The next instalment of the Scream franchise is here and Sidney Prescott is back. Having built a new life for herself in Indiana she thought that was the last she’d see of the figure that has haunted her for many years. But unfortunately, the dream wasn’t a reality and a new Ghostface killer is in town creating havoc and begins to target her daughter.

The Bride!

Led by Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale, this gothic horror written by Maggie Gyllenhaal draws inspiration from the 1935 film Bride of Frankenstein. Frankenstein’s creature searches for a companion and ends up in Chicago where an eccentric Doctor gives life to a murdered woman. In this tale of romance, we have the chance to look inward and contemplate the human condition of needing companionship throughout our lives.

Lee Cronin's The Mummy

The newest addition to the James Wan and Jason Blum universe is supernatural horror The Mummy. In this reimagining of the iconic The Mummy franchise, a young daughter of a journalist goes missing in the desert but reappears 8 years later. Although you’d expect a joyous celebration when the family are reunited, the reality is far from that when it comes apparent that something is really wrong.

Scary Movie 6

With over ten years since Scary Movie 5, parody fans have been dreaming of the next chapter and their prayers have finally been answered. The Wayans brothers are back with bundles of slapstick and gross out gags as they continue to recreate and distort well known and universally loved horror films from the ages. Joined by their original cast member Anna Faris, we know this is going to be full of nostalgia and laugh out loud moments.

Plus there's so many more great films out this year, whether you like a scare, a laugh or even a cry. Our cinemas are ready to welcome you and let your emotions take centre stage!
